The Grand Cherokee SRT has standard Active Head Restraints, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Active Head Restraints system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

There are over 15 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Alfa Romeo dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Grand Cherokee SRT’s warranty.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT’s engine uses a cast iron block for durability, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s engine uses an aluminum block. Aluminum engine blocks are much more prone to warp and crack at high temperatures than cast iron.

The Grand Cherokee SRT’s 6.4 V8 produces 27 lbs.-ft. more torque (470 vs. 443) than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s 2.9 turbo V6.
The Grand Cherokee SRT has 7.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio (24.6 vs. 16.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
The Grand Cherokee SRT has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. The Grand Cherokee SRT’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction, the Grand Cherokee SRT has larger tires than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio (295/45R20 vs. 255/45R20).
Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Grand Cherokee SRT can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer run-flat tires.
The Grand Cherokee SRT offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Grand Cherokee SRT’s wheelbase is 3.8 inches longer than on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio (114.7 inches vs. 110.9 inches).

The Grand Cherokee SRT’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s (7200 vs. 3000 pounds).
The Grand Cherokee SRT’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.
On a hot day the Grand Cherokee SRT’s driver can lower the front windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
When the Grand Cherokee SRT is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Grand Cherokee SRT has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel isn’t available on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio w/Sparco Racing Seats.
The Grand Cherokee SRT’s Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
Insurance will cost less for the Grand Cherokee SRT owner. The Complete Car Cost Guide estimates that insurance for the Grand Cherokee SRT will cost $4500 less than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio over a five-year period.
The Grand Cherokee SRT will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the Grand Cherokee SRT will retain 53.84% of its original price after five years, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio only retains 41.79%.
IntelliChoice estimates that five-year ownership costs (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, fees, repairs and maintenance) for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will be $15879 less than for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
