The Cullinan’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Levante doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.
Both the Cullinan and Levante have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Cullinan has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Levante’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.
The Cullinan has standard PostCrash iBrake, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Levante doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.
Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cullinan has standard Active Park Distance Control that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The Levante doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.
A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cullinan helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Levante doesn’t offer a night vision system.
The Cullinan’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Levante doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.
The Cullinan has standard Rolls-Royce Assist, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to get turn-by-turn driving directions, remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Levante doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.
Both the Cullinan and the Levante have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras and rear cross-path warning.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan weighs 1285 to 1419 pounds more than the Maserati Levante. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.
The Cullinan comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Levante’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
The Cullinan’s 4 year corrosion warranty has no mileage limitations, but the corrosion warranty on the Levante runs out after 50,000 miles.
Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Cullinan for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Levante.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Rolls-Royce Cullinan higher (3 out of 10) than the Maserati Levante (1). This means the Cullinan produces up to 22.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Levante every 15,000 miles.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Cullinan has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Levante.
Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Cullinan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Levante doesn’t offer run-flat tires.
The Cullinan has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Levante doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.
The Cullinan offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Levante.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Cullinan’s wheelbase is 11.4 inches longer than on the Levante (129.7 inches vs. 118.3 inches).
Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the Cullinan when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the tailgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The Levante doesn’t offer tailgating seats.
The Cullinan has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Levante with its rear seat up (43.4 vs. 19.4 cubic feet). The Cullinan has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Levante with its rear seat folded (68.2 vs. 57.3 cubic feet).
Pressing a switch automatically lowers or raises the Cullinan’s rear seats, to make changing between cargo and passengers easier. The Levante doesn’t offer automatic folding seats.
The Cullinan’s rear cargo window opens separately from the rest of the tailgate door to allow quicker loading of small packages. The Levante’s rear cargo window doesn’t open.
Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Levante, the Cullinan has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
The Cullinan has a standard heads-up display that projects speed and other key instrumentation readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Levante doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
If the windows are left open on the Cullinan the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Levante can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
The Cullinan has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Levante.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Levante doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
The Cullinan’s Parking Assistant Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Levante doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
