The AMG GT 4-Door’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The AMG GT 4-Door has a standard Rear Cross Traffic Brake that use rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door weighs 774 to 938 pounds more than the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2019 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Mercedes vehicles are better in initial quality than Alfa Romeo vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Mercedes 12th in initial quality. With 24 more problems per 100 vehicles, Alfa Romeo is ranked 29th.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat and mirrors in the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the AMG GT 4-Door has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The AMG GT 4-Door offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and other key instrumentation readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

If the windows are left open on the AMG GT 4-Door the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Giulia Quadrifoglio can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Keyless-Go standard on the AMG GT 4-Door allows you to unlock the doors, trunk and start the engine all without removing a key from pocket or purse. This eliminates searching for keys before loading groceries, getting in the vehicle in bad weather or making a hurried start to your trip. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio’s Keyless-Go doesn’t unlock the trunk.

A manual rear sunshade is optional in the AMG GT 4-Door to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a rear sunshade.

When the AMG GT 4-Door is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The Giulia Quadrifoglio’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the AMG GT 4-Door keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in summer. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

The AMG GT 4-Door offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Giulia Quadrifoglio.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console and one for the rear passengers. Wireless charging costs extra on the Giulia Quadrifoglio.

The AMG GT 4-Door offers an optional 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The AMG GT 4-Door’s Active Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
