The Quattroporte has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Maserati Quattroporte may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 550 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door.

The front grille of the Quattroporte uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Quattroporte’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The AMG GT 4-Door does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Quattroporte has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The AMG GT 4-Door’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Quattroporte’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

A power rear sunshade and rear side window sunshades are standard in the Quattroporte to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Quattroporte’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Quattroporte has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the car heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the AMG GT 4-Door.
