Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The K900 has standard Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The G80 doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the K900. But it costs extra on the G80.

Both the K900 and the G80 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

For better traction and acceleration, the K900 has larger rear tires than the G80 (275/40R19 vs. 245/45R18).

The K900’s 275/40R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the G80 3.8’s standard 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the K900 has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the G80 3.8.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the G80, the K900 has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The K900 has standard front air conditioned seats and offers them optionally in the rear. This keeps the passengers comfortable and takes the sting out of hot seats in summer. The G80 only offers an air-conditioned driver’s seat.

The K900 has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the car heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the G80.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Kia K900 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console and one for the rear passengers. Wireless charging costs extra on the G80.
