For better traction, the F-Pace SVR’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the V90 (F:265/45R21 & R:295/40R21 vs. 255/40R19).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F-Pace SVR has standard 21-inch wheels. The V90’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

The F-Pace offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the V90; it requires you to depend on a temporary spare, which limits mileage and speed before replacement.

The front and rear suspension of the F-Pace uses coil springs for better ride, handling and control than the V90, which uses transverse leafs springs in the rear. Coil springs compress more progressively and offer more suspension travel for a smoother ride with less bottoming out.

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the F-Pace is .9 inches wider in the front and 1.7 inches wider in the rear than the track on the V90.

The F-Pace’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51% to 49%) than the V90’s (53.7% to 46.3%). This gives the F-Pace more stable handling and braking.

The F-Pace SVR handles at .89 G’s, while the V90 T6 AWD Inscription pulls only .88 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The F-Pace SVR executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.3 seconds quicker than the V90 T6 AWD Inscription (25 seconds @ .77 average G’s vs. 26.3 seconds @ .67 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the F-Pace’s turning circle is .7 feet tighter than the V90’s (38 feet vs. 38.7 feet).

For greater off-road capability the F-Pace has a greater minimum ground clearance than the V90 (6.3 vs. 6 inches), allowing the F-Pace to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.
