Both the F-Pace and AMG GLC Coupe have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The F-Pace has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The AMG GLC Coupe’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The F-Pace has a standard Whiplash Reduction System, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Whiplash Reduction System moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the F-Pace’s standard All Surface Progress Control allows you to creep down safely. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer All Surface Progress Control.

Both the F-Pace and the AMG GLC Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, driver alert monitors, available blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road.
