The Q7 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Bentayga has larger standard tires than the Q7 (275/50R20 vs. 255/55R19).

The Bentayga’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Q7 2.0T’s standard 60 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Bentayga has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Q7 2.0T. The Bentayga’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the Q7.

The Bentayga has a standard full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Q7, it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some models of the Q7 don’t even offer run-flats.

The Bentayga offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Q7 doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Bentayga uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Q7, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Bentayga offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Audi doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Q7.

The Bentayga has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Bentayga’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Q7 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Bentayga SPEED handles at .93 G’s, while the Q7 Premium Plus pulls only .83 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Bentayga SPEED executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.9 seconds quicker than the Q7 Prestige (24.6 seconds @ .79 average G’s vs. 26.5 seconds @ .67 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Bentayga SPEED’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the Q7’s (39 feet vs. 40.7 feet). The Bentayga’s turning circle is .1 feet tighter than the Q7’s (40.6 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 1.4 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Q7 (9.7 vs. 8.3 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Bentayga has 1.9 inches more front headroom and 2.1 inches more rear legroom than the Q7.

Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the Bentayga when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the liftgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The Q7 doesn’t offer tailgating seats.

Optional air-conditioned the front and second row seats keep the Bentayga’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Q7 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats for the second row.

The Bentayga’s optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Q7 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
