When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Stelvio’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The GLC Coupe doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

The engine in the Stelvio has a single overhead cam for simplicity. The engine in the GLC Coupe has dual overhead cams, which add to the number of moving parts and the complexity of the cylinder heads.

The GLC Coupe’s redline is at 6500 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The Stelvio has a 5500 RPM redline.

On the EPA test cycle the Stelvio AWD gets better fuel mileage than the GLC 300 Coupe (22 city/28 hwy vs. 21 city/28 hwy).

The Stelvio offers an optional driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road.
