The Quattroporte has 3.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG GT 4-Door (21.1 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Quattroporte has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Quattroporte’s optional 245/35R21 front and 285/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the AMG GT 63 S’ 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

The Maserati Quattroporte may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door.

The front grille of the Quattroporte uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Quattroporte’s available rear sunshade is power operated, allowing the driver to remotely raise and lower it. The sunshade available in the AMG GT 4-Door is manual, and has to be raised or lowered in the rear.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Quattroporte’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The AMG GT 4-Door doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.
