For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Maserati Quattroporte have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Cadillac CT6 doesn’t offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts.

Both the Quattroporte and the CT6 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems and around view monitors.

For better traction, the Quattroporte has larger standard tires than the CT6 (F:245/45R19 & R:275/40R19 vs. 235/50R18).

The Quattroporte’s standard 245/45R19 front and 275/40R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the CT6’s standard 50 series tires. The Quattroporte’s optional 245/35R21 front and 285/30R21 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the CT6’s optional 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Quattroporte has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the CT6. The Quattroporte’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels optional on the CT6.

The Quattroporte’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the CT6’s (51.2% to 48.8%). This gives the Quattroporte more stable handling and braking.

For better maneuverability, the Quattroporte’s turning circle is 1.3 feet tighter than the CT6’s (38.7 feet vs. 40 feet).

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Quattroporte to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The CT6 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Quattroporte has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The CT6 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The CT6 Premium Luxury/Platinum/Sport’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Quattroporte’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.
