For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Aston Martin DB11 doesn’t offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts.

Both the GranTurismo Convertible and the DB11 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and front and rear parking sensors.

The GranTurismo Convertible comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The DB11’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

There are over 3 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Aston Martin dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the GranTurismo Convertible’s warranty.

The DB11’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The GranTurismo Convertible’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

The GranTurismo Convertible’s sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The DB11’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.
