Both the Bentayga and AMG GLE 43 Coupe have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Bentayga has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.
A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Bentayga helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then projects the image on the windshield, near the driver’s line of sight. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a night vision system.
To help make backing safer, the Bentayga’s optional cross-path warning system uses wide-angle radar in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a cross-path warning system.
Both the Bentayga and the AMG GLE 43 Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems and around view monitors.
The Bentayga comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
The Bentayga V8’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 produces 157 more horsepower (542 vs. 385) and 184 lbs.-ft. more torque (568 vs. 384) than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe’s 3.0 turbo V6. The Bentayga’s standard 6.0 turbo 12 cyl. produces 215 more horsepower (600 vs. 385) and 280 lbs.-ft. more torque (664 vs. 384) than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe’s 3.0 turbo V6.
An engine control system that can shut down half of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Bentayga’s fuel efficiency. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
For better stopping power the Bentayga’s brake rotors are larger than those on the AMG GLE 43 Coupe:

The Bentayga offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.
The Bentayga offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Mercedes doesn’t offer an active suspension on the AMG GLE 43 Coupe.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Bentayga’s wheelbase is 3.1 inches longer than on the AMG GLE 43 Coupe (117.9 inches vs. 114.8 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Bentayga is 1.4 inches wider in the front and .8 inches wider in the rear than on the AMG GLE 43 Coupe.
For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 1.9 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe (9.7 vs. 7.8 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.
The design of the Bentley Bentayga amounts to more than styling. The Bentayga has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .34 Cd. That is lower than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe (.36). A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Bentayga get better fuel mileage.
The Bentayga offers optional seating for 7 passengers; the AMG GLE 43 Coupe can only carry 5.
The Bentayga has 1.1 inches more front headroom, 1.4 inches more front legroom, .2 inches more rear headroom and 2.5 inches more rear legroom than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe.
Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the Bentayga when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the liftgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer tailgating seats.
The Bentayga’s cargo area provides more volume than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe.

Pressing a switch automatically lowers or raises the Bentayga’s second row seats, to make changing between cargo and passengers easier. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer automatic folding seats.
To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Bentayga’s available liftgate can be opened and closed just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its liftgate, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.
The Bentayga’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the AMG GLE 43 Coupe’s (7716 vs. 7200 pounds).
The Bentayga offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Bentayga has a standard rear wiper. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer a rear wiper.
To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Bentayga has standard extendable sun visors. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer extendable visors.
Optional air conditioned the front and second row seats keep the Bentayga’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The AMG GLE 43 Coupe doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.
