Safety

The Q8’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Bentayga doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Q8 has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The Q8 has a standard Audi Connect CARE, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Q8 and the Bentayga have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, rearview cameras, available night vision systems, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

Warranty

The Q8 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Bentayga’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Q8’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the Bentayga’s (12 vs. 3 years).

There are almost 7 times as many Audi dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Q8’s warranty.

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the Q8 gets better fuel mileage than the Bentayga V8 (17 city/22 hwy vs. 14 city/23 hwy).

Regenerative brakes improve the Q8’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Audi Q8 uses regular unleaded gasoline (premium recommended for maximum performance). The Bentayga requires premium, which can cost 20 to 55 cents more per gallon.

Chassis

The Audi Q8 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 250 to 400 pounds less than the Bentley Bentayga.

The Q8 is 6.1 inches shorter than the Bentayga, making the Q8 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Cargo Capacity

The Q8 has a much larger cargo area with its rear seat up than the Bentayga 5-Passenger with its rear seat up (28.6 vs. 17.1 cubic feet). The Q8 has a much larger cargo area with its rear seat folded than the Bentayga with all its rear seats folded (67.5 vs. 62.6 cubic feet).

The Q8’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Bentayga w/Four Seat Comfort Specification doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Ergonomics

A manual rear sunshade is optional in the Q8 to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a rear sunshade.
