Mr. Craig Monaghan serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Monaghan joined Asbury as Chief Financial Officer in May 2008 after holding the position of Chief Financial Officer at Sears Holdings Corp. Prior to joining Sears, Mr. Monaghan served as Chief Financial Officer of AutoNation, Inc., the nation's largest automotive retailer. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of iVillage.com, which he helped take public in 1999. Earlier in his career, he was with Reader's Digest Association, Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and General Motors Corp. Mr. Monaghan holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, which he attended on a ROTC scholarship. After graduation, he completed his service in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Captain before returning to school and earning his M.B.A. at The Wharton School of Business.
Mr. David W. Hult serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Hult joined Asbury in November 2014. He is responsible for providing leadership to our managers and associates in our stores while continuing the development of our operational initiatives. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic policies and programs to drive sales, service and profitable growth across the company. He will work to ensure that internal and external customers receive the highest level of service, guidance and support. After serving our country in the US Army, David started his career as a retail sales associate and his success led to rapid advances within the industry. He has been an operator at the General Manager level as well as the regional level for a number of large dealership groups. In addition to his most recent position as Chief Operating Officer at RLJ McLarty Landers, David has extensive experience in multiple aspects of the industry including fixed operations, marketing and all levels of variable operations. His experience requires time with both large private organizations as well as a number of years with public automotive retail companies including Group 1 Automotive and Penske Automotive Group.
Mr. Keith Style serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he served as VP of Finance, overseeing the company's operational financial functions, management reporting and process improvement initiatives. Mr. Style has held several roles at Asbury since joining the company in 2003, including Vice President of Investor Relations, Director of Budgeting & Forecasting and Assistant Controller. Mr. Style began his career in public accounting and holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from Lafayette College.
Mr. George C. Karolis serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Real Estate, and is responsible for national purchasing initiatives, acquiring new dealerships and managing the company's real estate portfolio. Prior to joining Asbury, he worked with Arthur Andersen in its transaction advisory services group in New York City where he provided transaction support for several large private equity groups and other large clients, including Asbury Automotive Group. Mr. Karolis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University in New Jersey and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. George A. Villasana serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Villasana joined Asbury in April 2012 after holding the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Swisher Hygiene Inc. (NASDAQ: SWSH). Prior to joining Swisher, Mr. Villasana served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Pet DRx Corporation (NASDAQ: VETS), which he helped take public and later sold to VCA Antech, Inc. (NASDAQ: WOOF). Previously, he served as Senior Corporate Counsel at AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN), the nation's largest automotive retailer, for seven years where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, corporate governance and franchise law matters for the company. Earlier in his career, he was a corporate attorney with Holland & Knight, LLP and Shutts & Bowen, LLP in Miami, Florida, and he began his career as a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Mr. Villasana holds a LL.M. (Tax) from Georgetown University Law Center, a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, a Master of Accounting from Florida International University and a B.S. in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
